[ Titanium door Stakka + K-Tee ] What is harder than steel? Well, Titanium for instance! And what better
way to illustrate your music is harder, than by doing a tribute to a metal
like that. But stangely these two tracks aren't that hard at all, not
compared to what this duo has released on their wonderful drum'n'bass
compilation Origin Unknown last year. Instead they have opted for
a more subtle and mysterious sound, which makes this music much more
exciting on repeated listening.

[ Car Demolition door Pamétex ] Ultra limited promo release on a Rotterdam label run from a
skateshop in the center of the
city. This one contains eight minimalistic electro tracks, composed
unusually slow. Nothing to dance to, but plenty to lounge with in your
living room. This release is another example of music from the Netherlands
that will matter in the very near future.

featuring artists which will become household names in years to come.
Volume three features Krok, Frankie Carbone, Will Web and Spaceling &
Bassheads. They all use electronics, sounds, moods and themes from the
early eighties like any true electro-minded musician should.

[ Mikro Makro by Ø and Noto ] Minimalism isn't the right word for this. This is beyond minimalism. The
music Mika Vainio (Ø) and Carsten Nicolai (Noto) are making is so
sparse and otherworldly, most people would really find it hard to accept
this as music. But with these four ten minute tracks released on lovely clear
vinyl, Mika and his German friend make a musical universe of their own.
You can almost hear the sound of crickets chirping and the whisteling of
birds, they have only abstracted it to the most basic sounds, little
clicks, beeps. Beautiful like lying in a field on a warm summers day.

[ Automatic by Le Car ] Everything on this record is electonic. The flowers on the front have been
digitized to big abstract colored squares. The photographs of the two main
bandmembers pictures them as two FBI undercover agents. Every track is divided
by samples of Automatic Auto Attendants serving every need of the auto user.
Le Car is strange, but their music is great to dance to.

[ Spiral Architect by Gerard Deluxxe ] Gerard Deluxxe has found the way forward! By combining electro, techno
and drum'n'bass he has created a basis for wonderful new music. The
funky electronic sound and simple melodies work fine in combination
with fast rhythms and low-flying bass.

[ Analogue Bubblebath vol 3.1 by AFX ] It's years ago since Aphex Twin's legendary Analogue Bubblebath 3 was released.
The original, with the bubblefoil packaging is almost impossible
to get. Luckily Rephlex has now released some tracks of that album on
12". Very strange techno made on his old selfbuilt equipment. A must have
for the Aphex minded.
